Elliptical Mobile Crash Cushion ElipSAFE with Variable Message Sign (VMS)

The ElipSafe Elliptical Mobile Crash Cushion with a Variable Message Sign (VMS) is an advanced tool for real-time driver information regarding road conditions. It is designed to secure temporary roadworks, service vehicles, or incident sites, protecting both personnel and equipment from the effects of a collision. Its innovative design, a proprietary solution by WIMED engineers, is fully hot-dip galvanized (per EN ISO 1461) and utilizes specially curved absorbing modules to progressively dissipate kinetic energy. This is confirmed by full compliance with the CEN/TS 16786 technical specification, achieved on the first attempt of every crash test. The LED display, compliant with the EN 12966 standard, is perfectly visible both day and night, with its legibility further enhanced by our proprietary „STOKROTKA” (Daisy) LED lamps.

The VMS variable content control and display is the heart of the system.

The control system and the Variable Message Sign (VMS) display are the heart of the system. The screen itself is a high-contrast LED display designed for maximum visibility in all lighting conditions. This technology allows for the instantaneous display of critical messages-ranging from graphical warning signs (e.g., traffic jams or weather conditions) to text-based hazard information-directly increasing the level of safety.
